About the event

This workshop will build on discussion of the APA’s multicultural guidelines (2017) from the October CAABA meeting through presentation of a psychological assessment of a bilingual child. Dr. Morsa will introduce the case material and he and Dr. Bennet will lead discussion of the case with particular attention to how clinicians can conceptualize multicultural ecological models in application to psychological assessment. Participants will have an opportunity to consider not only technical aspects of assessment in this population but also how to hold family, community, regional, legal, and systemic factors in mind to best inform an assessment.

The presentation will be in Room 318
